Chapter X LiveCathedrals Live in AtlantaOn this Memorial Day weekend … the Jubilee begins with the balance of the  much-requested Cathedrals Live in Atlanta concert from 1983, which actually took place in the suburb of Marietta, Georgia, at the Cobb County Civic Center. The group at that time consisted of Glen Payne, George Younce, Kirk Talley, Mark Trammell and Roger Bennett.

Then … you’re taken to Eastern Kentucky University’s Brock Auditorium in Richmond, Kentucky. It’s an April evening in 1994 and the Bishops have taken to the stage, ready to sing a concert in celebration of their 10th anniversary.

Melody Boys Live 50

On the weekend of May 19th … with Gerald Williams’ recent announcement that he and the Melody Boys Quartet will retire following a concert this coming New Year’s Eve … the Jubilee brings you a recorded performance that celebrated the group’s 50 years of singing Southern Gospel music . . . that was 13 years ago in a concert at the Geyer Springs First Baptist Church in Little Rock, Arkansas, the same church that will be hosting their “grand finale” celebration in December.

Then, the evening will close out with a couple of stories from that legendary storyteller, Wendy Bagwell!

Cathedrals Live in AtlantaMTQ - Live-MorristownOn the weekend of May 12th, the Jubilee leads off with a recent performance by the Mark Trammell Quartet. It took place last year at the First Baptist Church in Morristown, Tennessee … which is the hometown of Gerald Wolfe. Of course, the Greater Vision boys were on hand to make sure the evening was properly “launched!”

To see this Live in Morristown performance as well as hear it again, you can purchase the DVD at www.marktrammellministries.com.

Then, you’ll hear the first half of a performance Singing News readers chose as one of their TOP Five favorite “live” recordings of all time … the Cathedrals and Live In Atlanta! The clock is being turned back nearly 30 years, as this concert took place in 1983 at the Cobb County Civic Center in the suburb of Marietta, Georgia.

Unfortunately, the federal law which we’ve told you about in the past restricts enLighten from bringing you the entire recording at one time … but, the remainder of it will be heard on the Jubilee two weeks from now.
