Singing Americans, Live and AliveBrowns, Live in Pigeon ForgeThe first part of the evening on the weekend of September 22nd is devoted to another “Live in Pigeon Forge” performance … this one by the much-loved and extremely talented Brown family out of LeMars, Iowa. This concert recorded about four years ago … and this Mama and her multi-talented children just keep getting better and better. So, if they come to your area, don’t miss them!

Then, you’ll experience a rewind … going back some 25 years and zipping over to the Paramount Auditorium in Ashland, Kentucky … where a very special group is singing. Listen as Jerry Goff introduces them . . . the Singing Americans … the year was 1984 and this is the first portion of their recording, Live and Alive. You’ll need to return next week when the Jubilee brings you the remaining segment of this classic, historic performance.

There’ll be no Jubilee show this Saturday evening, the 15th … as enLighten will be broadcasting live from the 2012 National Quartet Convention.

On Sunday evening in the Jubilee time period … you’ll have an opportunity to hear an encore airing of the 2011 Singing News Fan Awards and the Southern Gospel Music Hall of Fame Induction Ceremonies, the three-hour-plus all-star extravaganza that took place at Dollywood last September, and was hosted by Gordon Mote and Gerald Wolfe.

For the weekend of September 8th … the Jubilee has another Hinsons live performance recording for you … this one by the New Hinsons. Yes, we can tell you that the Original Hinsons are on hand on this 1998 evening in Nashville and will make an appearance and sing during this concert, which is titled Light Up the Night.

Among old Hinson favorites you’ll also hear six brand new Hinson songs … and, if you know anything about the Hinson family, you know that is a songwriting family extraordinaire!

And … before the Jubilee wraps up for the evening … you’ll hear one, maybe two of those famous stories by the legendary storyteller himself … of course, we’re speaking of Wendy Bagwell!

Teddy Huffam and the Gems, Live Like No OtherOn this final holiday weekend of the Summer season … it’s another encore airing of one of the most popular special performances ever aired on enLighten! It took place in June of 1990 in Orlando, Florida. Get ready, as we believe – if you haven’t heard this recording before – you are going to find this to be a very dynamic and special concert performance … with Teddy Huffam and the Gems. PLUS … before the hour is over, a very special, special guest will come on stage to join the group … as the late Anthony Burger joins Teddy and The Gems … in a tribute to the Kingsmen.

Many have asked about getting a copy of this recording, titled “LIVE Like No Other!” It is available for download only from www.crossroadsmusic.com.

A final note: Yes, it’s unfortunately true that not long after this sensational evening Teddy Huffam went home to be with the Lord.
