NGQC 1963With the National Quartet Convention of 2013 just ahead … the Jubilee for the weekend of August 24th leads off with a very rare recording from 50 years ago … which may well be the first-ever recording released of performances on the stage of the National Gospel Quartet Convention. The location was Memphis, the year was 1963 and during this 40-minute recording you’ll hear the Blackwood Brothers, the Stamps, the Statesmen, the Kingsmen, the Speers and the Oak Ridge Quartet.

Then … it’s the Singing Americans and their great concert that took place on September 1, 1974 in the Landis Baptist Church in Landis, North Carolina. This is their Wanted Live performance.
