Oak Ridge Boys - Back Home AgainPaul’s Featured Artists on the edition for the weekend of May 19th are the Oak Ridge Boys, returning to their musical roots with songs from a brand new Gospel recording called Back Home Again, produced by Ben Isaacs in conjunction with Bill Gaither. You’ll hear why they do feel like this CD brings them “back home,” for both the music and the message. You’ll hear a classic Oak Ridge Boys Gospel song that they’ve reprised on this new CD. And you’ll get their reaction to plans by the Southern Gospel Music Association to give them a top award this fall.

And … his special Artist Spotlight guest will be Libbi Perry Stuffle of the Perrys, this time as a soloist, with songs from her new solo CD called Journey. Libbi will explain why doing this CD was something she really never wanted or planned to do — and what changed her mind. And you’ll hear a very special new song she included, written just for her, that is built on her life story, with a very personal twist.

Finally, you’ll also hear from Ronnie Booth (Booth Brothers), Gerald Wolfe (Greater Vision), and Scott Fowler (Legacy Five).

GG's - Mom logoComing as this program does the weekend of May 12th … when much of the world celebrates Mother’s Day, most of Paul’s songs and artist comments will be about mothers. Among the artists sharing their relevant thoughts and their songs will be Ivan Parker, Reba McGuire (Rambo-McGuire), Dennis Humphries (HisSong), Steve Warren, Scott Lucas (Telestials), Jordan and Jonathan Wilburn (Wilburn & Wilburn), Sheri Easter, plus special contributions from Chonda Pierce.

Charlotte Ritchie - Windows on the WorldAnd … his Featured Artist on this program will be soloist Charlotte Ritchie with songs from her new CD called Windows In The World. Included will be her current radio hit, Walk Right Out Of This Valley. She’ll explain why she chooses songs like that one and the theme she’s trying to get across in her music. She’ll tell the story of a most unusual song called Song About Heaven. And we’ll add a song she’s been singing for the past four years or so called My Father’s Angels — a song that’s special to her both as a mother and as a daughter.

Paul’s Featured Artists on the broadcast for the weekend of May 5th, for the first time ever, is the family group known as Rambo-McGuire. The group includes Reba and Donny McGuire, their daughter, Destiny, son, Israel, and Reba’s father, Buck Rambo. They’ll talk about the unusual way their new Dove Award-winning “Grassroots Rambos” CD came to be and why it has a different musical style than they had expected. Buck Rambo will share memories and talk about singing at age 80. Songs from the CD that you’ll hear will all be remakes of Dottie Rambo classics.

And … he’ll have an Artist Spotlight visit with the quartet known as Paul’s Journey, with songs from their latest CD, A Tribute To The Classics. You’ll hear their new version of some of those Southern Gospel quartet classics, such as Wonderful Time Up There and When I Wake Up To Sleep No More. You’ll hear about the unusual way they selected songs for this recording. And you’ll find out about a significant milestone coming for the group this August.

Finally … it’s the final reminder about entering to win a three-day-and-night vacation package at this September’s National Quartet Convention in Louisville, Kentucky.  And, you’ll also hear from Gordon Mote, Terah Penhollow (Bowlings) and Jeff Easter during the program.

Gospel Greats Top 20 CountdownOn the weekend of April 28th edition, it’s Paul’s monthly official Singing News Top 20 Countdown edition, based this time on the radio airplay chart appearing in the magazine’s May issue.

Isaacs - Why Can't We CDAnd … his Featured Artists on this program will be the Isaacs with songs from their new CD called Why Can’t We, the title song of which has been very popular recently on the radio. He’ll talk with Lily, Ben, Becky, Sonya and Jimmy about the songs they wrote for this CD. Becky will explain why Waiting In The Water has become very personal for her. And Lily will tell you about a song of encouragement called God Still Has A Plan.

Then … you’ll find out on this program how you could win three days and nights at Gospel music’s biggest annual event, the National Quartet Convention this September in Louisville, Kentucky. The prize includes tickets for two to attend three evening concerts, afternoon showcase spectaculars and even hotel accommodations!

Browns - Now CDPaul’s Featured Artists on the edition for the weekend of April21st are the Browns from LeMars, Iowa. This family group — Shelly, Michaela, Adam, Andrew, Jessica and Nick  … will present songs from their new CD entitled “Now.” Most of the songs, in fact, are songs written by group members. You’ll hear a fascinating assortment of their songs, all with varied but powerful messages.

His Artist Spotlight segment guests will be the Kingdom Bound Quartet from Jena, Louisiana. As he visits with David, Ross, Chad and Ben, you’ll hear songs from their current CD entitled “Call Jesus” — including that title song. You’ll find out where that group name came from, how they describe their unique singing style, and more.

Finally … Paul announces the winner of the Grand Prize in the Gospel Greats 2012 Great Annual Giveaway and you’ll hear some of the conversation as he broke the news to her.
