On this weekend of October 5th, the Jubilee leads off with an historic recording that was transferred from LP to CD especially for enLighten … The Florida Boys In Concert…LIVE. This performance dates to 1977 and took place in Huntsville, Alabama.
On the weekend of September 28th … more great male quartet singing. This time, it’s the first in a series of encore broadcasts of performances from June’s 2013 Memphis Quartet Show. From Friday evening, you’ll first hear from the Dixie Echoes followed by the Kingsmen Quartet. Just as it took place on the stage in the Cook Convention Center, each group will sing a 30-minute set and then each return for a shorter set … a full 90 minutes of music total!
On this weekend of September 21st … the Primitive Quartet has recently released a double-CD album titled 40th Anniversary Live! … which you’ll hear in its entirety on this edition of the Jubilee. And joining them as special guests in this concert, recorded last November at the Trinity Baptist Church in Asheville, North Carolina, are Archie Watkins and the Smoky Mountain Reunion.
