Leading off on the weekend of February 16th . . . the remaining half of KingsGold III, the third in the series of four double quartet performances by the Kingsmen and Gold City … with Jay Parrack, Steve Lacey, Mark Trammell and Tim Riley making up Gold City … and for the Kingsmen, Chris Collins, Jim Hamill, Tim Surrett, Parker Jonathan and Ray Dean Reese. The year was 19-94 and took place in the New Alabama Theater in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
For the weekend of February 9th … the performance is titled From Out Of The West They Came, Live and On Stage … which can only mean the Hinsons … Ronnie, Bo, Larry and all the Hinsons … in a concert which took place in 1976 in Fresno, California. Get ready for a full hour of Spirit-filled singing!
On the edition for the week of May 7th … it’s the monthly look or, should we say, listen to what the hot new tunes are from some of your favorite Southern Gospel artists! With guest artist co-host Wes Hampton of the Gaither Vocal Band, Daniel presents an hour of Gospel’s best new songs from such artists as The Perrys, Gold City, Gordon Mote, Poet Voices, Morgan Easter & more.
On the Jubilee for the weekend of January 28st . . . the year is 1986 and the group is Gold City … featuring Tim Riley, Mike LeFevre, Ivan Parker, Brian Free and Garry Jones. Yes, it’s the second half of their recording titled Double Take … which the Jubilee brought you the first half of two weeks ago. This performance was recorded in Charleston, South Carolina.
