On this Memorial Day weekend … the Jubilee begins with the balance of the much-requested Cathedrals Live in Atlanta concert from 1983, which actually took place in the suburb of Marietta, Georgia, at the Cobb County Civic Center. The group at that time consisted of Glen Payne, George Younce, Kirk Talley, Mark Trammell and Roger Bennett.
Then … you’re taken to Eastern Kentucky University’s Brock Auditorium in Richmond, Kentucky. It’s an April evening in 1994 and the Bishops have taken to the stage, ready to sing a concert in celebration of their 10th anniversary.

On the weekend of May 12th, the Jubilee leads off with a recent performance by the Mark Trammell Quartet. It took place last year at the First Baptist Church in Morristown, Tennessee … which is the hometown of Gerald Wolfe. Of course, the Greater Vision boys were on hand to make sure the evening was properly “launched!”
On the Jubilee for the weekend of January 28st . . . the year is 1986 and the group is Gold City … featuring Tim Riley, Mike LeFevre, Ivan Parker, Brian Free and Garry Jones. Yes, it’s the second half of their recording titled Double Take … which the Jubilee brought you the first half of two weeks ago. This performance was recorded in Charleston, South Carolina.
On this weekend of December 17th, the Jubilee brings you the second half of that very popular “live” recording from the year 1986 . . . the Cathedrals and Travelin’ Live . . . the lineup at that time being Danny Funderburk, Mark Trammell, Glen Payne and George Younce … and the location for this concert … the Reynolds Auditorium in Winston-Salem.
Next, the clock is turned back seven years to September of 2004, as you listen to the highlights from that year’s National Quartet Convention performances. There are 16 of Southern Gospel’s favorite groups of that year included in this evening’s lineup … so, as we in radio like to say . . . let’s go to Louisville and the stage in Freedom Hall …
On this December weekend of the 10th, the Jubilee turns the clock back eight years … to spend one-hour-and-a-quarter in Freedom Hall in Louisville, Kentucky, listening to the best of the best from 2003 and the performances at that year’s National Quartet Convention. You’ll hear from 19 different groups, including the one and only George Younce, with Signature Sound helping out, singing Supper Time. Do you remember Gold City’s That Little Baby? You’ll hear it during this broadcast!
