On the weekend of November 2nd broadcast: One of this year’s most highly-anticipated events is the special “Cathedrals Family Reunion” two-day concert event November 8th and 9th in Fort Worth, Texas. In association with that event, Cathedrals alumni Mark Trammell, Ernie Haase, Gerald Wolfe, Scott Fowler and Danny Funderburk have recorded a new CD of, mostly, classic Cathedral Quartet songs. With songs from that CD, they’ll be our Featured Artists on this special edition of The Gospel Greats. If you’re a Cathedrals fan, take a trip down memory lane with these special Featured Artist visits.

Guardians
Also, Paul’s special guests will be the Guardians Quartet from Chillicothe, Ohio. You’ll find out all about this veteran quartet, hear some of their most recent songs and learn about how you can win one of one hundred copies of their new “Silver Anniversary” CD that Paul has to give away.

On this last weekend in June … the Jubilee begins with the balance of the much-requested Cathedrals Live in Atlanta concert from 1983, which actually took place in the suburb of Marietta, Georgia, at the Cobb County Civic Center. The group at that time consisted of Glen Payne, George Younce, Kirk Talley, Mark Trammell and Roger Bennett.
On this weekend of June 15th … the Jubilee begins with the Freemans in a performance that’s nearly an hour long which was recorded in Morristown, Tennessee in 1996, titled Getting’ Out the Good Stuff.
As promised, the Jubilee leads off on this December 8th weekend with the balance the Freemans concert recorded in Marion, Pennsylvania, in 1994 … titled Victory Live.
On the broadcast for the weekend of November 10th, Paul writes: This program will be a very special treat for any long-time Southern Gospel music lover. Our Featured Artists will be none other than the legendary Cathedrals! Yes, although the group retired at the end of 1999, Ernie Haase (a member of the group back then) has found a previously-unreleased recording of a live-in-concert radio broadcast from 1996. You’ll hear the group — George, Glen, Scott, Ernie and Roger — as you remember them in concert from that era. The CD is called Cathedrals – Live In Chicago, and it will definitely be a treat for Cathedrals fans. The songs, the jokes, the banter — it’s all there.
