Collingsworth Family
On the weekend of October 5th broadcast, Paul’s Featured Artists are one of today’s most popular family groups, the Collingsworth Family. Included will be songs from two brand new CDs of theirs — The Lord Is Good and Hymns From Home. You’ll find out why one of their biggest problems for The Lord Is Good was having too much good song material. And you’ll learn the unusual way their hymns CD was inspired — and the unusual setting for the recording (and a companion DVD video).
And, he’ll have an Artist Spotlight visit with the Greesons, a family group from Chickamauga, Georgia. Songs will be from their latest CD entitled “I’ve Come A Long Way.” Be listening for his visit with the Greesons and hear about their heart for ministry through music.
Finally … you’ll hear from Ernie Haase (about a new song he co-wrote for the Cathedrals Family Reunion CD) plus Ivan Parker (about his current songs and future recording plans).

On the weekend of September 28th … it’s Paul’s official Singing News Top 20 Countdown edition, based on the top-tunes chart appearing in the magazine’s October issue. The chart is determined by a poll of radio stations nationwide that play Southern Gospel music to determine local favorites, based on airplay.
On the weekend of September 21st … it’s an All Listener Favorites edition, where every song, other than Paul’s Featured Artist selections, will be introduced by listeners who called his special Call-In line last month. You’ll enjoy hearing what songs they chose — and why the songs are so meaningful to them.
And … his Featured Artists on this program will be the Isaacs, who’ll share some songs from their new CD entitled The Living Years. You’ll find out what’s unusual about this recording, why it was done differently than most, and how they selected the songs to include. You’ll also find out which new song was inspired by friends of theirs, including a singer/musician you know. Please join us for this very interesting visit with the Isaacs.
On the weekend of September 14th … Paul’s Featured Artists will be one of today’s best-known and in-demand quartets, Ernie Haase & Signature Sound. They’ll be sharing some of the songs from their current Glorious Day CD and telling you why those songs are special to them. Included will be their big hit, Sometimes I Wonder, along with the title song and four others. This is their first recording featuring their new bass singer, Paul Harkey.
Quartet singing has always provided the foundation for the style we know as Southern Gospel music. On this edition for the weekend of September 7th … all of Paul’s songs will be by quartets! Included will be a special segment remembering one of the greatest quartets of relatively recent times, the Cathedrals. You’ll also hear what two top trios sound like as quartets. Our All Quartets Edition also celebrates the start of Southern Gospel music’s biggest annual event, the 2013 National Quartet Convention in (for the final time) Louisville, Kentucky.
And, his Featured Artists will be one of today’s best-known and most-loved quartets, Triumphant. You’ll hear songs from their current CD, “The Greatest Story.” And they’ll explain how they chose the 15 songs for this recording, two of which have already been radio hits. You’ll hear two songs written by group member Scotty Inman. And they’ll explain the simple reason why they’re now going by “Triumphant” rather than “Triumphant Quartet.”
