On the weekend of July 20th, Paul’s Featured Artists, for the first time as such, will be Steve Hess & Southern Salvation, with songs from their current Revived CD. You’ll find out all about this trio, who they are, what they do and why they do it. (Steve is a nephew of the late, great Jake Hess.) You’ll hear four of their songs and find out why there’s a theme running through their messages. You’ll also find out how you can enter to win one of 50 copies of their CD that will be given away.
On the weekend of July 13th … Paul’s Featured Artists are the Hyssongs from Rockport, Maine. Dell, Susan and Richard will tell you about some of the songs on their current Trusting CD — and you’ll get to hear six of them. You’ll find out why the name of the CD is so appropriate and so important today for Christians everywhere. And Richard will explain why their daughter’s very life is a result of God’s grace.
Plus, Paul will have a special segment about a most unusual CD that marks 150 years since the American Civil War, especially the bloody battle of Gettysburg. It features the music and stories about expressions of faith during that fateful era. Matt Felts (of the Dixie Melody Boys) will tell you about the music and compelling narrations on their CD, Angels On The Battlefield. You’ll find out why Matt and others did this special recording and the response they’ve been getting to it.
Paul’s Featured Artists on the weekend of July 6th will be the Driven Quartet, comprised of Jason Funderburk, Chad Smith, Will Lane and Wesley Smith. He’ll visit with all four of these guys and hear some songs from their new CD called Takin’ You There. The CD includes some outstanding remakes of classic songs made popular decades ago by the Cathedrals and other top quartets.
