With the National Quartet Convention of 2013 just ahead … the Jubilee for the weekend of August 24th leads off with a very rare recording from 50 years ago … which may well be the first-ever recording released of performances on the stage of the National Gospel Quartet Convention. The location was Memphis, the year was 1963 and during this 40-minute recording you’ll hear the Blackwood Brothers, the Stamps, the Statesmen, the Kingsmen, the Speers and the Oak Ridge Quartet.
Then … it’s the Singing Americans and their great concert that took place on September 1, 1974 in the Landis Baptist Church in Landis, North Carolina. This is their Wanted Live performance.

Leading off on this weekend of September 29th … as promised … you’re taken back to the Paramount Auditorium in Ashland, Kentucky . . . the year is 1984 and on stage are the Singing Americans.. . . as the Jubilee presents the second half of their much-acclaimed Live and Alive recording featuring Michael English.
The first part of the evening on the weekend of September 22nd is devoted to another “Live in Pigeon Forge” performance … this one by the much-loved and extremely talented Brown family out of LeMars, Iowa. This concert recorded about four years ago … and this Mama and her multi-talented children just keep getting better and better. So, if they come to your area, don’t miss them!
