Gaither Vocal Band, 1981
For the week of April 22nd … Daniel is joined by Lee Young, who was an original member of the Gaither Vocal Band when it was formed in the early ’80s. His smooth, low notes rounded out Bill Gaither’s dream of having his own quartet. Thanks to the Gaither Vocal Band reunion DVDs, we know a little more of Lee’s story. Now, Lee shares with Daniel, one-on-one, more of his rich musical history and you’ll hear Some of his rich bass tones. You’ll hear some vintage Gaither Vocal Band music and some songs from Lee’s solo work as well, all on this edition of Daniel Britt & Friends.

For the week of April 15th … it’s the second part of this two-part encore airing of a discussion whose focus is the book, The Shack. Following its publication a few years ago, it quickly became a hot topic of conversation, yet proved to be a book out of which came much needed healing and renewed relational revelation of God as loving Father. Why so much controversy? Is the author really a Universalist? Why was the Christian community so divided on a novel?
Be listening as he describes why it took so long and how the recording and song selection came together, with the help of a few famous friends!
On the broadcast for the week of March 23rd … It’s time for Daniel and his guest co-host, Mike Holcomb of The Inspirations to again sample what’s recently been released in the way of Southern Gospel recordings. You’ll join the guys in listening to new sounds from the Booth Brothers, the McKameys, the Talleys, Ivan Parker, the Inspirations and several others.
