Amber Thompson

Amber Thompson

For the week of October 24th, Daniel has a very special encore of a conversation originally aired in July of this year … on a subject that’s very current: She’s a rising talent in Gospel Music, straight from a family heritage of singers with a vocal range that is pure, high, and solid. So why would American Idol take serious notice, only to barricade that path because of her faith and convictions?

Amber Thompson, of the Nelons, has quite the story of trust, tests, and tenacity when it comes to facing the Idol judges of Jennifer Lopez, Steven Tyler, and Randy Jackson. In this exclusive talk with Daniel, Amber tells about her American Idol experience — and you’ll hear her sing as well … on this next Daniel Britt & Friends.

Roger Bennett, SNFA

Roger Bennett

Daniel’s show for the week of October 10th continues in “encore” mode, as we dig back into the early Daniel Britt & Friends archives to bring you an hour that honors a Southern Gospel artist who was truly special to so many: Roger Bennett.

Roger was a great quartet man, pianist, friend, and communicator. Daniel talks to Roger’s wife, Debbie Bennett, about the man so many loved dearly. We’ll also hear updates from the Bennett family, clips from the funeral service featuring the chaplain at M.D. Anderson, and the songs Roger was best known for.

It’s an hour of honor to one of the best!
