On the weekend of January 21st, Paul’s Featured Artists are the Dixie Melody Boys, celebrating their 50th anniversary as a quartet. You’ll hear songs from their anniversary CD, The Call Is Still The Same, which includes the voices of several former DMB members and special guests as well as, of course, the current group. Paul talks with Ed O’Neal about the group and its history and hear from a few of those special guests, too. And you’ll find out why they almost didn’t record the song that has become their current radio single, Jesus In My Boat.

And … Paul has an Artist Spotlight visit with the Skyline Boys — talking with all four group members — and hearing songs from their latest CD called Till The Storm Passes By. You’ll hear about the unexpected impact of one of their songs — Till God Turns This Thing Around — and find out what is one of the most common questions fans ask group member Jerry Skaggs.

Paul’s other guests include . . . Laverne Tripp (debuting a new radio song); Rick Webb (about the Rick Webb Family’s 30th anniversary of singing); and Steve Case (about the American Society of Gospel Music).

Finally … a reminder: the Listener Favorite Call-In is Sunday afternoon, January 22nd, from Noon until 6 p.m. Eastern time (USA). Details can be found here.
