On the weekend of July 7th … the Jubilee leads off with a concert by the Freemans. It’s titled Soul Shakin’ LIVE and was recorded on November 5, 2005 in Christ Church, Brownsville, Tennessee. Five of the six members of the group at this time was a Freeman, with the exception of Jeremy Medkiff playing lead guitar.
Then, for the balance of the evening . . . it’s the first half of a performance titled Live & Large. The group is one that you don’t hear a whole lot about, but they are a first-class Southern Gospel quartet and are based in Southern Gospel’s birthplace, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. Of course, they are the Kellys … who had their beginnings some 50 years ago as a family group singing Southern Gospel Music.
