On this weekend of September 21st … the Primitive Quartet has recently released a double-CD album titled 40th Anniversary Live! … which you’ll hear in its entirety on this edition of the Jubilee. And joining them as special guests in this concert, recorded last November at the Trinity Baptist Church in Asheville, North Carolina, are Archie Watkins and the Smoky Mountain Reunion.

And … the Jubilee is privileged to bring you a full concert by the Primitives recorded at their outdoor performance theater in Hominy Valley, North Carolina, a full dozen years ago … simply titled Live from Hominy Valley 2001.
For the weekend of January 5th … the Jubilee brings you a full hour of solid traditional Southern Gospel music featuring the Primitive Quartet. It’s their 2006 Live in Ashland, Kentucky performance that’s available on both CD and DVD.
