On the weekend of October 19^th … Paul’s Featured Artist during the hour will be noted songwriter Dianne Wilkinson. She’s won honors for her writing this year in both the NQC Music Awards and the recent Singing News Fan Awards. She’s even penned three of this year’s #1 songs! You’ll be amazed at how many of the songs you’re hearing on Southern Gospel radio these days are written or co-written by Dianne. She’ll talk about several of them — how they were inspired and the response they’re getting.

Then … the entire second hour of this broadcast will be devoted to some of the sounds and excitement from the recent 2013 Singing News Fan Awards presentation in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, at Dollywood. You’ll hear the winner announcements and edited versions of the acceptances, along with recorded music by the winners. Included will be some presentations not previously broadcast anywhere. On this special edition for the weekend of October 20th, Paul’s Featured Artist throughout the first hour will be one of today’s most prolific and in-demand Southern Gospel songwriters, Dianne Wilkinson. She wrote two songs that have reached the number one chart position this year alone — Peter, James & John and Tell Me Why. She’ll also tell you the inspiration behind some of her other current hits, such as “We Will Stand Our Ground,” Jesus Will and Don’t Start Doubting Now. You’ll also hear new songs of hers from the Tribute Quartet, the Talleys, the Lefevre Quartet and others. And on the Headline Update you’ll hear about a brand new book that’s out that tells Dianne’s interesting life story. It’s all happening on the first hour of this weekend’s broadcast.

And, during the entire second hour of this program, Paul will spotlight the recent 2012 Singing News Fan Awards. You’ll hear edited versions of the winner announcements and acceptances.
