Leading off on the weekend of August 10th … with the National Quartet Convention of 2013 barely a month away, the Jubilee offers a review of what took place on the same stage seven years ago. On the program for the weekend of June 9th … Paul’s Featured Artists will be the venerable Chuck Wagon Gang, whose roots as a group go back more than 75 years. He’ll talk with members of today’s group about songs from their current The Best Is Yet To Be CD. They’ll share observations about why Chuck Wagon Gang music is — and always has been — very identifiable, even though this CD includes some unusual musical elements (unusual, that is, for the Chuck Wagon Gang). And, they talk briefly about the special appearances they’re making with the Blackwood Brothers and the Lefevre Quartet as the New Gospel Singing Caravan.
All of the music on this program for the weekend of December 10th will be Christmas music by many of your favorite Southern Gospel artists. Among the artists sharing special Christmas thoughts will beGordon Mote, Joseph Habedank (Perrys), Chad and David (Kingdom Bound), Dell and Richard (Hyssongs), Susan, Jeff and Karen (Karen Peck & New River).
On the edition for the weekend of November 12th … Paul’s Featured Artists are … It’s been about three years since Gold City came out with their last regular recording. Now, they have a brand new one called Somebody’s Coming. He’ll talk with all of the singers, including their two newest members, and you’ll hear songs from that new CD. Included, of course, will be their new radio song that everyone’s talking about, Peter, James And John. You’ll even find out which group member is nicknamed “Pumpkin.”
