As you’ve seen posted here on this page, Landon Beene recently launched a new Southern Gospel “Festival” in Virginia Beach, Virginia. It just so happened that our close friends, Pat and Fritz, invited Alicia and yours truly to join them in spending a few days there by the beautiful ocean. It would be the first time for us to really experience this part of God’s wonderful earth … and it worked out that these two happenings overlapped by one night.
When I discovered this, I quickly made arrangements for the four of us to attend the first night, Thursday … which featured several of our favorites, including Greater Vision. During the evening, my friend Gerald Wolfe would introduce this brand-new DVD that lasts well over two hours and features nothing but old favorite hymns.
Joining Gerald and Greater Vision at the First Baptist Church of Morristown, Tennessee, are the Hoppers, the Whisnants, Jim Brady and several others.
Gerald commented to me in response to my writing him that I had purchased a copy and we’ve thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it: “I’m glad you’re enjoying the HymnSing DVD… we’ve been overwhelmed with the response to it, so far. People are being blessed and encouraged… and that’s why we recorded it.”

Another thought – even if you already have a copy … think about who among your friends and family love hymns as well … order another copy and give it to them as a gift … Christmas is comin’ up fast! OR, how about placing a copy in your church’s library?
