While the National Quartet Convention begins these days with a “warm up” concert on Sunday evening, it officially gets under way with full-day activities on the second Monday of September each year … and this year is no different.
And, again, enLighten has four or more hours of live broadcasts scheduled for each evening with the schedule looking something like this:
- MONDAY: 5:30pm – 9:30pm
- TUESDAY: 5:30pm – 10:15pm
- WEDNESDAY: 5:30pm – 9:30pm
- THURSDAY: 5:30pm – 10:00pm
- FRIDAY: 6:00pm – 10:30pm
- SATURDAY: 5:48pm – 10:00
Broadcast times are Eastern and may vary some due to guest availability and deviations in the activities on the Freedom Hall stage adhering to their scheduled times.
Some always ask, “why do you do interviews when there’s performances on the Main Stage that you could be airing?” As we’ve noted previously, in our agreement with NQC management, we are permitted only three hours per evening, so there’s a juggling back and forth in order that we get at least one performance on by every Main Stage group at least once during the week.
Check back here as the week goes along, as we plan to post photos of some of what happens in our broadcast booth in the exhibit hall as the days unfold.
