The handing out of awards and the celebration events surrounding those awards in the world of entertainment and music seems to grow with each passing year. There are even several tied to Gospel music … the most prestigious of which are the Dove Awards.
This year’s … the 43rd Annual Gospel Music Association’s Dove Awards … which transcend the multiple boundaries in Gospel music, took place last Thursday evening in Atlanta. In what we’d call a fairly dramatic shift from the recent past, Southern Gospel and Bluegrass Gospel artists were honored numerous times during the evening, and taking top honors in several categories!
