I was thinking back to when enLighten started on XM Radio and remember setting you as a preset as soon as I heard you were going to be on the radio, not just online. Seems so long ago now, as we enter a new year. As a truck driver traveling all over North America, I know that on many Sundays, your channel and the Message are the only church we will get, so I thank all of you for your continued work on enLighten. Only when we get to Heaven will you really understand the ministry you have been to so many people all over this land. As a Canadian listener, we don’t get this music up here too often, so it is especially good for us. I was blessed to have my wife with me on the road during the NQC, and your broadcast of it made us feel that we were there. At our home church in Ingersoll, Ontario, the music pastor formerly was a bass singer in a number of quartets in Canada and, when we got home, we found he was there. Needless to say, it helped us to reconnect with our church again. May God continue to lead, guide and direct everyone at enLighten as we travel through this life together

Music has been a part of our entire lives. My husband plays guitar and jams with his buddies regularly. I play piano and sing and have done so since I was little. I now teach both at a music center here where we live.
enLighten is on in our home all the time. We purchased a Sirius radio last year after returning home from Myrtle Beach. We had been listening to Southern Gospel the entire week we were there and found we couldn’t live without it.
We both love God with all our hearts and called in every day to object when they planned to take enLighten off. It was funny when I was voicing my opinion strongly but courteously for about the 4th time … the girl said to me enLighten would remain on due to subscriber demand! She was trying to tell me … but I couldn’t hear her, as I was so busy talking about all the reasons they needed to leave it on. I had to say to her – “what did you just say”?!!! I remember laughing about it – I was so relieved and happy.
I also love your message about thinking positive – strongly positive – and picking yourself up by your bootstraps sometimes. I believe that plays a strong part in our life. But it’s funny that you mentioned this, as I had come to the conclusion that this new year was going to be different, it was going to be a happier and better year for me. I love that you gave the Scripture verses in your message. That makes perfect sense. Our thoughts and words carry a powerful message, not just to others, but to ourselves!! I like that

I grew up in Southern Indiana, so Southern Gospel was everywhere. I now live in Oregon and Southern Gospel concerts are not so plentiful here. Most times, the groups come to Portland, which is two hours away. I’m a 28-year-old stay-at home mom of a two-year-old daughter. enLighten XM18 is playing 24/7 in our house or the car … my husband also has an XM receiver in his semi and listens to enLighten as well. Thank you for airing Southern Gospel music, music to my soul!!!!
Right now my favorite song is the one by the Booth Brothers, “She Remembers Jesus Name.” My maternal grandmother is living this song right now and so is my paternal Grandpa. One of the saddest things is to see Grandma so disoriented that she doesn’t know what or why she does things and to have my retired pastoral Grandpa not with it enough to carry on a conversation. I’ve cried many times when that song is played. Surely, someday, we will understand why God allows these things to happen to the ones we love.

We just purchased a vehicle with a satellite radio in November and found you on Channel 18 shortly thereafter, and have not changed the station since. We love Southern Gospel music and love having it available through enLighten and trust you will continue to be available. We ask God to bless you and keep you in all the business situations that arise and keep you committed to HIM as you share your heart with us through the music you broadcast.

I thank each of these listeners for sharing their hearts with us, so that we can share their thoughts and feelings with you … and, hopefully, be blessed.
We are here because our great God ordained this channel to be here, and in being called to be its shepherd, I sincerely believe that I must allow the Holy Spirit to be its guiding light at all times.
To God be the glory and … praise God, from whom all blessings flow!
