FreemansdiamondawardpicNashville, TN – Gospel family group, The Freemans was honored and took home three awards this week in Pigeon Forge at the SGN Scoops Diamond Award Show. They won Christian Country Group of the Year, Gospel Music Today Video/DVD of the Year (Big Merlin Productions – Caylon Freeman and Adam Wagner) and Chris Freeman was named Christian Country Female Artist of the Year. “I was truly not expecting to win Female Artist and it was such a great honor, however I was thrilled to see my family win Group of the Year and my son for his hard work on the video, “shares Chris.

Caylon adds, “To be honored for this award was two-fold, first being a win for my family who work hard each week traveling, and second being a win for myself, Adam Wagner, and the Big Merlin Production team. We all feel blessed to be a part of blazing the new trails in our industry.”

Restored TrioFreemans, Voice in the DesertPaul’s Featured Artists on the weekend of October 12th are, for the first time in almost three years, the Freemans. They’ll introduce you to some of the songs on their long-awaited new CD entitled “Voice In The Desert,” including that very popular title song. You’ll also find out why two of their other new songs, “Meanwhile Back At The Cross” and “Lead Me Home,” are so special to them and everyone who’s heard those songs. Join Paul for our visit with Darrell, Chris, Misty, Caylon and Joe — the Freemans.

In the Artist Spotlight, you’ll meet the Restored Trio, comprised of Dallas Rogers (whom you’ll remember from his days with the Inspirations, the Dixie Echoes and other groups), Robbie Moore and Chris Walton. You’ll hear three songs from their current Mercy And Grace CD, including that title song, and another song which echoes the group’s name: Restored. You’ll find out why Dallas’ wife, Shelly, wrote that song based on very personal experience.

Also, Paul has a special segment honoring pastors during Pastor Appreciation Month/Pastor Appreciation Day.
