Christmas is a-comin’ … November 14, 2012

clef-plusSo, it’s time for you to let us know what would personally make you the happiest while listening to enLighten through the month of December.

For us to tabulate the replies and seek to satisfy as many listeners as possible … please take a few moments and respond to these 10 questions. You can copy and paste the list into the body of your E-mail … or simply place your responses behind the number of the question.

  1. When should enLighten begin playing Christmas seasonal melodies
  2. How much . . . what percentage to begin with?
  3. How much of each hour would you like devoted to Christmas music by December 15th?
  4. Is it acceptable to include secular melodies like White Christmas and Jingle Bells when sung by the same Southern Gospel artists you hear on enLighten year-round?
  5. Is there a place for songs about Santa and Rudolph in the enLighten playlist?
  6. If you find holiday seasonal favorites acceptable, what percentage should be played vs. the sacred carols?
  7. When would you like enLighten to begin playing all Christmas/holiday music?
  8. Christmas is on a Tuesday this year – should enLighten continue playing seasonal melodies past Christmas night?
  9. How long past? All the way into the following weekend?
  10.  If “yes” to the questions above … what percentage of the total mix should seasonal melodies occupy during this after-Christmas period?

These are essentially the same questions asked of listeners six years ago. Even though we were still quite young at that point, we did already have a significant body of listeners and received a goodly number of responses.

In closing, let me note that some of the responses we received back then in 2006 rather surprised me . . . so I am looking forward to how you feel about what’s being asked here.

Let us hear from you, as we value your input. Think about how enLighten can best enhance your celebration of this glorious Christ-centered time of the year … E-mail us your “answers” now!

Marlin
