The Medicine You Need January 28, 2012

Can you … are you qualified to serve on God’s mission field, whether in a foreign land or just around the corner? If you think you are too much of a sinner and just not good enough … consider these facts . . .

A Cheerful HeartNoah was a drunk
Abraham was too old
Isaac was a daydreamer
Jacob was a liar
Joseph was abused
Moses had a stuttering problem
Gideon was afraid
Samson had long hair and was a womanizer
Rahab was a prostitute
Jeremiah and Timothy were too young
David had an affair and was a murderer
Elijah was suicidal
Jonah ran from God
Naomi was a widow
Job went bankrupt
Peter denied Christ (3 times!)
Martha worried about everything
Mary Magdalene was promiscuous
the Samaritan woman was divorced, more than once…
Zaccheus was too small
Paul was too religious
AND Lazarus was dead!

This was shared with me under the heading of The Medicine You Need. Its source is unknown, other than it’s one of those pieces that gets forwarded via E-mail from person to person … with instructions to forward “to 10 of your friends.”

The next time you feel our God cannot use you … just think back to all these prominent folks from the Bible!

As written in Verses 20 and 21 of the 17th Chapter of Luke:

Now having been questioned by the Pharisees as to when the kingdom of God was coming, He answered them and said, “The kingdom of God  is not coming with signs to be observed, nor will they say, ‘Look, here it is!’ or, ‘There it is!’ For behold, the kingdom of God is within you.”

Therefore, no matter who we are or where we are … it’s our job to be His hands and feet and voice. Do you agree? Let us hear from you now.
